Rottweilers are a great breed that can take care of just about anything. In the past, they were used to care cattle herds because of their excellent ability to do so. When something is going to happen, they feel it before everyone else. Therefore, they are excellent for guarding livestock as well as m property. That is why they are widely used for security units. They have a very developed instinct and have a faster ability to understand anything than other breeds.
Because of this excellence of theirs, dog lovers are very much tempted to buy them. But no matter how great they are, some people throw them to the streets. Oliver is one of these Rottweilers who met such a fate. When he was three months old, someone dumped him in London’s Hyde Park. When kind people found him, he had lost his sight.
Perhaps he was dumped by the breeders because of this problem. Because it is very difficult for breeders to sell such puppies to customers. The puppy was then taken in by Battersea Dogs and Cats Home where he received lots of love and care. And there he had a wonderful habit. He had a cheeky habit of always demanding ‘more’ after meals and he got the name Oliver Twist because of that habit.
Although his life was difficult at first, in 2020 Oliver started a new life with a foster family in South East London. Although he has no eyes, he learned everything very quickly like other dogs. Like normal dogs, he did everything very well. Like other Rottweilers, he quickly became a gentle giant. A few months later volunteers found two more puppies. These two puppies were rejected by their mom at birth. Then they both brought this foster home.
An unexpected thing happened there that no one expected. From the day brought the puppies, Oliver began to take care of them as if they were his own. But he could not see them. Still, he warmed them by licking them like a mother. He became a foster father to the two motherless little puppies. After a few days he started playing with the puppies himself. It’s really a wonderful bond.
